ಲೇಖಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಶೋಧಕ ಚಂದನ್ ಗೌಡ ವಿದ್ಯಾಶಿಲ್ಪ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಲಿಬರಲ್ ಆರ್ಟ್ಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಹಲವಾರು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಕಥೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಮರ್ಶಾ ಲೇಖನಗಳನ್ನು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ ಅನುವಾದಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Rajalakshmi N. Rao, a major modernist writer, has the rare distinction of having written fiction in both Kannada and English. This book gathers the stories in Sangama, an anthology of her Kannada short fiction from 1956, along with five of her later stories in Kannada. Bringing together for the first time a dozen of her exciting stories written in English and her English translations of two of her own stories, this volume recuperates a major voice in the field of Indian writing in English. Two valuable autobiographical essays of hers are also here.
A writer and academic, Chandan Gowda is at present Professor and Dean in the School of Liberal Arts at Vidyashilp University. He has translated several Kannada fiction and non-fiction writings into English
